California Wine Country


California is home to large, established and very famous wineries and small, new and lesser-known vineyards alike. Some of the most popular castles in all of California and the world are the Robert Mondavi Winery, Domaine Chandon, Niebaum-Coppola Estate Winery, Beaulieu Vineyards and Beringer Vineyards. These are the historic wine estates, international attention has brought to California as wine country.

Robert Mondavi is considered the father of California> Wine. His estate is one of the most renowned in the world. It was founded in 1966 to produce as Mondavi novel techniques used in winemaking, quality wines. Since then, the castle has gained worldwide interest in Napa Valley.

Currently, Domain Chandon is famous for its premium sparkling wines. In the 1970's. Moet & Chandon, a large house champagne from France, decided to start, sparkling wines in Napa Valley with the traditional French techniques. Domain Chandonwas initiated, and their first vintage in 1976. Today the winery is surrounded not only famous for its sparkling wines, but its majestic landscape, and architecture.

The Niebaum-Coppola Estate Winery is probably the finest vineyards in California, it is very popular and busy. It was previously Gustave Nebium, but the entire property was acquired is one of Francis Ford Coppola, the famous director of "The Godfather." He restored the historic castle and madein the most spectacular winery it is today. The winery produces a variety of products, of which embodies the Rubicon series the highest quality in winemaking.

The Beaulieu Vineyards is one of the oldest wineries in California. It was founded in 1900 by Frenchman Georges de Latour. The winery is famous reserve known for its fine wines, especially the George de Latour Cabernet Sauvignon. BV also invented new techniques in winemaking.

Beringer Vineyards is the oldest operatingWinery in Napa Valley. It was founded in 1897 and is a classic German real estate.

There are several budding Napa Valley wine producers and wait to be hit in the wine industry. California has for a long time, and hopefully will be forever, a fertile wine country produces some of the best in the world.
